PSI is the only school in Ukraine to offer four international assessment programmes. Each year, PSI students sit ‘best practice’ assessments and examinations alongside international school students in over 100 countries. Students in Grades 3 – 8 engage in MAP (Measure of Academic Progress) and ISA (International School Assessments) assessments. Grade 11 students sit the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (Grade 11), an important part of their college application process. Finally, Grade 12 students sit the IB Diploma examinations. Results are used to check students’ achievement at a grade level and also to measure their learning growth rate. Over time and multiple assessments, the results are plotted and can be evaluated on a ‘development continuum’. Data is also used by the School to review teaching and learning programmes and to modify the curriculum to meet the needs of individual students, a class or grade level accordingly.
